BREAKFAST
MORNING at St. JOHN BREAD and WINE

St. JOHN BREAD and WINE serves breakfast from 9.00 a.m. until elevenses take over from Monday to Friday and between 10.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Before we take you through some of the dishes offered and details of our new Breakfast Feasting menu, chef and owner of Bread and Wine Fergus Henderson wished to share his wisdom on the first, and some say, most important meal of the day...
"An army marches better on a full tummy, likewise the best way to start the day is the taking of proper sustenance.
What could prepare you better for the adventures the day holds than a plate of Devilled Kidneys on Toast and a glass of Black Velvet? Or perhaps you wake up having dreamt of a Bacon Sandwich? Well here you’ll find the Bacon Sandwich of your nocturnal fantasies.
If it is steadying you require at this time in the morning, Soft Roes on Toast is your man.
Start the day right - eat breakfast!"
Dishes offered change every morning, as with our main menus, but along with Fergus’s recommendations we offer home made Granola, Pikelets, Crumpets and Poached Seasonal Fruits.
For larger groups see the options for Breakfast Feasting below...
BREAKFAST FEASTING
BREAD and WINE is available for private hire for lunch and supper but for Summer 2007 we are introducing a breakfast feasting menu for larger groups and corporate customers who would like to take the dining room privately for meetings, presentations or informal group bookings. Groups wishing to take Bread and Wine privately may do so up to 11.30 am.
For such early morning diners we can accommodate up to 60 guests and offer a choice of dishes from the list below, which come to the table on large serving dishes for all to share.
We suggest selecting no more than three of the options from the breakfast menu for your party to share, once selected we can price your menu for you on a per head basis. Minimum numbers for group breakfasts start at 12 guests. A minimum of four days notice is required to secure your food order.
There’s no hire charge for taking Bread and Wine privately for your reception, your final bill can be invoiced to you and will include discretionary service to the total bill at 12.5% and vat.
